Teenage Scrum center Rodri Lewis made an amazing personal effort in Aberavon's Premier League victory over Swansea

This is a contender to try this season, and the kind of ending that Sean Williams would be proud of.

However, what is more striking is that it was made by a 17-year-old young man who had just started to participate in advanced rugby.

The amazing score was scored in the first Indigo Group Premier League match between Abravin and Swansea at the Talbot Stadium.

Fortunately, the S4C cameras are at hand, because they can capture some very special things.

With 7 minutes left in the game, the Wizards launched a counterattack from their own half through full-back Joe Gage, who removed substitute Rodri Lewis.

Teenage substitute Lewis was only in the middle when he received the ball, with a series of white shirt defenders in front of him.

But he continued to provide devastating single-player efforts, as he burst out of blocks, then defeated a player with a double-sided step, then stepped inside the last person to earn bonus points, trying to lock Aberavon's 28-13 victory.

This is a certain way to announce yourself to Welsh Rugby!

Lewis became the youngest Wizards player in his professional era when he played against Swansea for the first time in the Premier League in November when he was only 17 years and two months old.

Now, facing the same opponent, he has scored a goal, which is unforgettable.

Aberavon coach Jason Hyatt is excited about the talents of the teenagers from Ystalyfera, part of his Ospreys Academy and Welsh U18 setup.

"He started training with us in late August and he performed very well," he said.

"We gave him some short clips. He played against Swansea and Bridgend in the Cup.

"So he has a taster, but he came last night and set it alight.

"For him to play fair, this is an extraordinary attempt.

"This is a great side step and finish.

"For me, you don't see enough side steps in the game now. You don't see them as often as before. I don't know why, because it buys you a lot of space.

"Probably the last player on the professional front who does this often is Shane Williams.

"This is a great natural skill."

Commenting further on Lewis, Hyatt said: "It was amazing to do what he was doing when he was 17 years old. It was incredible.

"He is very healthy. His physical fitness is first-rate, and his skills are also very good.

"Last night, he used his acceleration and his spatial awareness to show what he can do. This is really a great attempt."
