Following the release of the "Gray Label" Bourbon in September, Barrel Craft Spirits recently launched the BCS Gray Label whiskey to the market.
The new gray label whisky uses 24-year-old Canadian whiskey casks, some of which are completed in Orosso sherry casks and Armagnac casks.
The brand explained that when the timing and flavor of the finished barrels reach their peak, all ingredients are mixed and bottled with barrel strength and 121.64 alcohol (60.82% ABV).

The brewer’s official tasting notes stated that the mature, spicy whiskey is “front and center, reminiscent of a wheat field full of wildflowers. There is a rare and noteworthy aroma concentration, rich in sweetness of candy and from the finishing touches. The green leafy earthy flavor of the bucket resembles toasted Belgian waffles."
In the past two years, the BCS team has conducted an extended secondary maturity test on the core product portfolio and the specific number of barrels purchased and designated for BCS Line. They believe that in this set of new versions, this process requires a lot of time, experimentation, and development.
Joe Beatrice, founder of Barrell Craft Spirits, said in a prepared statement: "In essence, BCS Gray Label is a limited edition luxury bottle that reflects these blends. The overall investment in time, development and ingredients required."
BCS was established in Louisville, Kentucky in 2013. It selects and mixes products to explore different distillation methods, barrels and aging environments, and bottle them with the strength of wooden barrels. BCS’s stock of high-quality wooden barrels allows them to make blends that maximize the nuance of each ingredient.
BCS Grey Label Whiskey, including a gift box, is now sold at a suggested retail price of US$249.99 at selected retailers in the brand’s current 48 US markets.
In addition to the BCS series, Barrell Craft Spirits also offers other special editions, such as Barrell Dovetail, which won the "Chairman's Trophy" in the 2020 Ultimate Spirits Challenge, Barrell Armida, Barrell Seagrass, American barrel malt and unlimited barrels.
