This is like an album that anyone can add.

If you have been on Instagram lately, you may wonder why you see so many stories about people raising dogs with the sticker "We will plant 1 tree for each pet photo". Under these types of stickers, there is usually an indicator to measure how many people have participated in the prompt — usually thousands or even millions of Instagram users — who can choose to "add yours" to the story chain. No, this is not the chain mail version of Instagram. This is their latest Add Yours feature.

Launched on November 1st, Add Yours is a new sticker option on Instagram that allows users to respond to different topics with their own views on specific topics-from pet photos to "#ootd" to "current view, "And more. After adding a reply to a person’s story, anyone viewing their story can click on the sticker to add their own reply and continue the chain to reach their own followers. The function of this function is similar to Snapchat's "Our Story" function, or a social media game similar to the phone. Tap the sticker to reply or see the countless replies that users have added to the prompt. If you have always wanted to add your own thoughts to the latest viral sticker trend, here is how to use Instagram’s "Add Yours" feature.

If you want to reply to the "add your" sticker, just click the sticker in the story you are viewing it. This will take you to a window where you can view all publicly submitted content stickers. (If you are looking for inspo, feel free to scroll!) At the bottom of this screen, there will be a blue button with an "add yours" option. You can directly click the "Add Your" text in the original sticker to abandon viewing the previous submission.

Once you choose to add yours, you can publish your submission like any story. Your camera app will open for you to take the photo you submitted in real time, or you can select a photo from the camera roll by clicking the camera roll option in the lower left corner of the story screen. Choose your photo and add any text you want as needed. Then, click on the post and it will be automatically added to Add your story.

If you feel like a pioneer, you can also start your own "add yours" theme. To do this, post a story, just like you would normally swipe to the right on the homepage. After you have taken a photo or selected a photo from the camera roll in the lower left corner, you can edit the story. Click the "sticker" option in the upper right corner of the screen. It is the third from the right and looks like a notepad with a smiley face.

From the "Stickers" menu, you should see the "Add your" sticker option with a camera next to it. (If you don't see it immediately, you can search in the search bar at the top of the menu.) You can choose to enter the hint on the sticker, or you can click above the dice keyboard at the bottom of the screen. Clicking on this icon will give a random prompt-such as "the latest photo on the camera roll" or "rewind". Click "Done" in the upper right corner, and then click the "Your Story" button in the lower left corner of the screen to post to your Instagram story. After sharing the "add your" story, you can go back to the original post and click on the sticker to see who participated in the topic.
