KolorSmart+ provides a wide range of digital label press configurations

Jaipur’s leading names in advertising and signage have invested in Jetsci Global KolorSmart+ UV inkjet label production press to add new avenues to their existing business. With this installation, the company aims to provide the label printing market with up to medium-run label printing applications.

Yogesh Pradhan, director of The Idea Factory, says, “Labels and Packaging is a growing segment, and we wanted to explore our footprint in it. We did a lot of market research to understand the market scenario for matching multiple SKUs and up to mid-run requirements of print length and finally decided to invest in it as we found Jetsci KolorSmart+ to be the best match for our needs. The press offers good speed, substrates compatibility, and flexibility for cost-effective label production.”

Established in 2006, The Idea Factory is a known and established name in the manufacturing of outdoor advertising materials, indoor advertising, dispenser, acrylic products, hoarding, flex and vinyl printing, retail marketing materials, LED signage, direction signage manufacturing, digital printing-translite, posters, banners and customized wallpapers.

Jetsci Global offers a wide range of inkjet printing solutions and an easy up-graph path for future opportunities with the complete range of Digital Label press configurations to match the requirements of all label converters.

Dinesh Thakur, deputy general manager – Sales at Jetsci Global, says, “The Idea Factory was exceptionally sharp and explicit about their pre-requisites which we have joyfully fulfilled their needs. KolorSmart+ is explicitly intended for label printers who need to begin the advanced excursion at a reasonable cost without settling for less on the quality, efficiency, and or substrates adaptability. KolorSmart+ will be the awesome and most appropriate answer for printers who want to diversify their print business. We are getting a good vibe from the market that is resulting in a maximum number of installations, and more than 10 installations are going to happen in the next couple of months,” he added.

The Covid-19 pandemic led to the country-wide lockdown on 25 March 2020. It will be two years tomorrow as I write this. What have we learned in this time? Maybe the meaning of resilience since small companies like us have had to rely on our resources and the forbearance of our employees as we have struggled to produce our trade platforms.

The print and packaging industries have been fortunate, although the commercial printing industry is still to recover. We have learned more about the digital transformation that affects commercial printing and packaging. Ultimately digital will help print grow in a country where we are still far behind in our paper and print consumption and where digital is a leapfrog technology that will only increase the demand for print in the foreseeable future.

Web analytics show that we now have readership in North America and Europe amongst the 90 countries where our five platforms reach. Our traffic which more than doubled in 2020, has at times gone up by another 50% in 2021. And advertising which had fallen to pieces in 2020 and 2021, has started its return since January 2022.

As the economy approaches real growth with unevenness and shortages a given, we are looking forward to the PrintPack India exhibition in Greater Noida. We are again appointed to produce the Show Daily on all five days of the show from 26 to 30 May 2022.
